Things I Love & Learnt About Fascinomas – Fascinating Medical Mysteries by Clifton K. Meador M.D.
This is the second book that I read by Dr. Meador, and just like with his other book, I am just as impressed and captivated by his writing style and stories. I love mysteries in general. Add a mysterious twist to a medical story and I will not put a book down. This is exactly what Dr. Meador beautifully and artistically has done in this book, also! This is a collection of medical mysteries stories that he gathered throughout the years from colleagues and his own experience in the field…I am a RN and I had the most fun trying to figure out the mystery diagnosis, but you do not need to be in the medical field to enjoy this book! Dr. Meador has been practicing and teaching medicine for more than 50 years and his writing is not only accurate as far as medical facts go, it is also beautiful, inspiring, and touching. Throughout the book you will find wisdom, courage, compassion and a powerful love and respect for life. Each story is as memorable as the last one, and each story brings forth different characters that you cannot help but admire. In addition, the one common theme that you will see throughout the book is the connection between mind and body…one cannot exist without the other, where the mind goes the body follows, of course. I highly encourage you to give it a try…it is more than just a mystery book. 🙂
