From the Author

Writing a romantic thriller with lawyers as the protagonists is the product of my unpleasant personal experience with the legal system – a long legal battle, when one of my best-selling books was used as the basis for a television series without giving me credit. The court battle went on for years; smooth and cynical lawyers went out of their way to present me as a greedy liar.

The character of Nili Abadi was born out of the desire to write a novel where at least one of the characters is a lawyer for whom justice is more important than winning a case.
She is divorced, following her spouse’s revelation that he is gay, and she is the mother of an eight-year-old daughter. Nili, a partner in a successful law firm in Tel-Aviv, finds herself playing a lead role in a Greek tragedy: one of the senior partners has been murdered, and his body is found in the car of his ex-lover, Alona, who is a partner in the same law firm – and Nili’s best friend. Tamar, another partner in the firm, and the deceased’s latest girlfriend, is convinced that Alona is the murderer, and finds herself in the opposite corner from her two ex-best friends.

The friendship of these three women is put to a difficult test; they were all in love with the same man, someone they had considered their close friend. However, only after his death do they realize how little they really knew about him.

Check it out 🙂
